The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, has left the country for a specialized medical review in Turkey, Kasese Guide Radio has confirmed.
Escorted by the Kingdom’s Premier, Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale and members of the Royal family, the Omusinga hailed President Museveni and the government of Uganda for his travel abroad for further medical review.
At around 4:30 am yesterday, the King accompanied by his wife, Her Royal Highness, Agnes Ithungu Asimawe, addressed the press at Entebbe International Airport where he rubbished social media reports presenting his health condition as critical though with internal pains that required specialized medical review abroad.
Speaking to the press shortly after the King’s flight, the Kingdom’s Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, pledged to ensure sanity in the Kingdom in the absence of the King, including the ongoing preparations for the Omusinga birth day and Coronation anniversary functions this year.
