Fort Portal County Reaches Semi-Finals After Draw with Kyaka

Fort Portal County has advanced to the semi-finals of the Tooro Kingdom Masaza Football Tournament after a goalless but intense draw against Kyaka County.

Held at St. Leo’s College Kyegobe playground, the match was a tactical battle that saw strong defenses from both teams, leaving fans thrilled despite the lack of goals.

Coach Solomon Nyakairu of Fort Portal praised his team’s discipline and focus, even though he expressed some disappointment with the draw.

Player Ivan Ahereza commended the efforts of both sides and highlighted the high level of competition. Meanwhile, Kyaka County’s captain, Christopher Birungi, praised his team’s resilience, especially given they played away from home.

With four points and four goals so far in the tournament, Fort Portal now looks ahead to the semi-finals. Upcoming matches include Kitagwenda vs. Burahya, which will take place at Mahyoro Playground and be broadcast live on Tayari West TV.
